Block 9 - Tiny Piecing Sampler
Do you know what’s incredible about this block? The points! If you had told me a few years ago that I would be sewing 1” half square triangles together to make a 6” quilt block, I would have laughed. If you had told me that my points would all match up, I would have said you were crazy!
Funny how things change. Now I’m the crazy one. :)

6” Block
Cut from White fabric:
(8) 1 1/2” x 2 1/2” rectangles
(4) 1 1/2” squares
Make:
(16) 1” Scrappy Triangles
12” Block
Cut from White fabric:
(8) 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” rectangles
(4) 2 1/2” squares
Make:
(16) 2” Scrappy Triangles
Instructions
Lay out all Scrappy Triangles and White fabric as illustrated above.
2. Sew the units in the top and bottom two rows together into rows. Press seams away from the Scrappy Triangles.
3. Sew the Scrappy Triangles on the sides and in the middle of the block together into pairs. Press seams open.
4. Sew the top two and bottom two rows together.
5. Sew the middle two Scrappy Triangle units together.
6. Sew the Scrappy Triangles on the sides of the block to the rectangles. Press towards the rectangles.
7. Sew the middle row together. Press towards the rectangles.
8. Sew the top and bottom sections to the middle section.
