Modern Quilts from the 2023 QuiltCon in Atlanta
A couple of weeks ago I went to QuiltCon in Atlanta, Georgia. QuiltCon is a large quilt show put on by the Modern Quilt Guild. In addition to vendors (love all the shops!) there were tons of amazing quilts and I wanted to share some of them with you.
The modern quilt show divided the quilts into categories: improvisation, minimalist, use of negative space, appliqué, modern traditionalism, handwork, and piecing. You can find pictures of the winning quits in each category here.
There were so many amazing quilts that I didn’t take pictures of! After looking at fa few rows of gorgeous quilts, I got overwhelmed and instead of taking pictures of absolutely everything, I just ended up taking just a few. I’m not sure which categories the following quilts were in, but here are some of my favorites.
Beasley Hollow by Lori Danelle
Cyrkles by Susan Braverman
Ohio Nine Patch by Annie Hudnut
Coral Charade by Steph Skardal
